Honorary delegate Verein Prema
My name is Liz Davey and I live in Belfast.
I have been involved in charity/volunteering work for many years.
I bring essential supplies to asylum seekers in a reception centre near Dublin.
I also get donations of clothing and medical items which I bring to refugees in Calais, Dunkirk, Paris and recently Poland/Ukraine border.
I strongly believe that every person should have the basic human right to live without fear of abuse, in whatever form it takes. Children especially need to feel the joys of a normal childhood, freedom to play and learn within a loving enviroment.
I look forward to helping Verein Prema in anyway I can.

Yes, I feel this project is very worthy of support. It’s all too easy to be wrapped up in our own little worlds and forget that the basic needs of some of the most vulnerable on this planet remain unmet.
One can never underestimate the good that can be accomplished by our small but consistent efforts.
Supporting the education and welfare of the girls in the Varein Prema project is really supporting a catalyst for change in the future of women.
With our help, their future can be brighter, open to more possibilities and punctuated by life enhancing experiences. I look forward to being part of the creative change that Verein Prema seeks to bring about.
I thank Fr. Placido Rebelo for his kind invitation to journey with the project.

“If our hopes of building a better and safer world are to become more than wishful thinking, we will need the engagement of volunteers more than ever.” Kofi Annan.
I believe that Verein Prema is one such avenue towards building a better and safer world and hence my acceptance of the invitation to be an honorary delegate.
In our still largely patriarchal society, girl children and women need the world to be safer. I’m glad Verein Prema has taken up this cause and wish it every success in achieving this goal. I thank Fr. Placido and Conny Bhend for their invitation and the opportunity to make a difference. I look forward to being part of Prema.
As Mother Theresa said” Not all of us can do great things but we can all do small things with great Love”.
